Understanding the Dispatch Board
The Dispatch Board contains list of all Resources, an Assignment grid, and a list of all Jobs and Phases. This page allows users to quickly drag and drop a Job or Job/Phase directly to an Employee, Crew, or Asset to create a new Long Term Assignment.
Resources
The Resources column on the left side of the page is a list of all Employees, Crews, and Assets. Underneath the Employee Name is the Position Title, underneath the Asset Description is the Asset Category, and underneath the Crew Description is the Labor Type Description. You can click use the Search on the header of this page to find any specific resource. Additionally, you can use the filters on the header of the page to see any specific group of resources.
Job/Phase
The Job/Phase column on the right side of the page is a list of all Jobs, which can be expanded to show the specific Job Phases. This column shows the Job Number, the Site Name, and the Business Group. These Jobs/Phases can be dragged onto the Assignment Grid on the row of the desired resource to create a new Long Term Assignment.
Assignment Grid
The Assignment Grid in the middle of the page shows the Long Term Assignments for each resource. This Assignment Grid is where you can drag and drop the Jobs/Phases on the right side of the page to create a new Long Term Assignment for the desired resource. Assignments created here are not locked to the Phase dates, so they can be easily modified. The default date ranges of a job you move onto the Resource Grid is based on the time preset. Additionally, the Begin and End dates of an assignment cannot be edited if they are in the past.
With a time preset dropdown at the top of the page, you can make this information display as a Daily view, Weekly View, Monthly View, or Annual View. You can also use the Date Ranges at the top to view a specific timeframe. The default date ranges of a job you move onto the Resource Grid is based on the time preset.
