June 2026 Release Notes

We are excited to introduce significant enhancements across Cost Projections, Labor Forecasting, Job Management, and Platform Administration. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Platform

• New users invited to Resource Planning will now receive a Fiddletree-branded email instead of the default Microsoft invitation email.

• Added a new grid filter operator: "Is one of" to improve search functionality.

• SMS opt-in messages are now stored in Admin > Organization > Notification Log.

• Added a forced refresh notification when a user is not running the latest version of Resource Planning.

• Users can now view the last data refresh timestamp by clicking their user initials in the top-right corner.

• Added a new Assigned PM filter to the Job List, Job Gantt, Global Labor Forecast, Global Projections, and Job Reports pages

  • Assigned PM information is populated from the employee assigned to a position with the Project Manager job role.

• Admins can now merge duplicate Jobs, Employees, and Assets

• Removed the tenant setting "Enable Employee Assignment and Asset Forecasts to Populate Total Projected."

  • This setting was redundant because the Projection Category > Set Remaining Projected to Zero setting already handles this functionality.

• The Color Picker now allows users to select from any colors currently in use.

Settings

• Dispatcher Unassigned Request Reminder Email Frequency

  • When enabled, users with Can Dispatch permissions will receive reminder emails based on the selected frequency.

• Daily Scheduling Auto-Lock

  • Daily Scheduling can now automatically lock after midnight.

• Administrators can specify the number of hours after midnight before schedules become locked from further edits.

Audit Tracking

• Added a new audit option to view changes made to settings.

Users

• Added an Invite Accepted column.

Job Setup

Work Schedule

• Added a toggle to designate a default work schedule.

• Only one work schedule can be marked as default.

• New jobs will automatically inherit the default work schedule.

• Users can apply the default work schedule to all jobs that currently do not have one assigned.

Budget Groups

• Budget Rules will now automatically apply to new Job and Budget records created through API updates and file imports.

Show Audit Column

• Added an Audit (magnifying glass) column to the Cost Projection grid.

• Tenant Admins can view projection calculation details for each budget code.

Allow Approver Corrections Override

• When enabled, Tenant Admins and JC Department Approvers can edit otherwise read-only:

Group Row Values By

• Summary roll-ups now support:

  • Entire Job

  • Phases

  • Cost Types

• Require Actual + Future Forecasted < Total Projected

• Prevents Cost Projection submission when:

• Future Forecasted Hours/Costs exceed Remaining Hours/Costs

• Remaining = Total Projected − Actual to Date

• Added support for hyperlinks in Job Notes.

Jobsite Phases

• Added a new Driven By option for Job Begin Date.

Jobsite Labor Forecasts

• Moved the Date Range selector into the page header.

• When Budget Groups are enabled, Labor Types are limited to those configured within the Budget Group.

• Improved Work Schedule dropdown defaults.

• Added Entire Job Phase as an option when Forecast by Phase is enabled.

Jobsite Assignments

• Crew request recommendations now display a map based on:

  • Crew Lead address

  • User sensitive-data permissions

• New assignments created from the Resource Allocation Gantt will automatically inherit a selected resource's Primary Category.

• Removed the Custom % Allocation option.

• Recommendation Maps no longer display mileage when no distance exists.

• Budget Code and Rate fields are no longer required for Opportunity assignments when enabled.

Jobsite Attachments

• Added a dedicated Attachments page for job records.

• Attachments can be shared with employees assigned to those jobs.

Jobsite Budget Groups

• Budget Code selection now supports multi-select.

Cost Projections

General

• Moved the Date Range selector into the header.

• Submitted Cost Projections now snapshot:

  • Labor Forecasts

  • Employee Assignments

  • Asset Forecasts

  • Budget Summary/Donuts

• Notes can now be edited and deleted by all users.

• Improved Cost Projection grid display when few columns are shown.

• Total Projected Cost may now be less than actual costs, but a note is required.

• Added an Approve button for:

• Tenant Admins

• JC Department Admins

Summary

• Moved Final Submit into the table header for greater visibility.

• Added commas to non-currency values.

Revenue

• All fields are now required when creating NTPs/PCOs, except:

  • Include in Cost Projection

• PRAs and NTPs are snapshotted upon Cost Projection submission.

Spread

• When using Spread Evenly, any remainder values that cannot be distributed evenly are added to the first month.

Cost Projections Grid

• Added info icons for Tenant Admins to review tab configurations.

• Improved horizontal scrolling behavior.

• Added a new View Full Grid option.

• Increased the size of Notes and Audit icons.

• Added a Recalculate button when the Method column is enabled.

Global Projections

Resource Allocation Gantt

• Allocation percentages now respect employee-specific work schedules.

• Added a quick link from the Job Detail slide-out to the Job record.

Dispatch Board

• Added a new layout showing:

  • Unassigned Requests (left)

  • Resources (right)

  • Added a quick filter for jobs without assignments.

  • Added a new Hourly Time Preset option.

Assignment Hours

• Now supports the organization’s Week Beginning Day setting.

Resources

Employees

• Users are notified when making an employee inactive if the employee has active assignments.

• Employees can now confirm both long-term and short-term assignments from the Employee > Assignments page via SMS magic link.

Schedule Notifications

• Crew members associated with an assignment now appear in the notification modal and can receive schedule notifications.

Time Off

• Added the ability to create Time Off Requests directly from the Time Off page.

Reports
