HR Onboarding Package

We have released a new version of the Fiddletree HR Onboarding Package. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• State Forms
  • Improve Validation For Exempt Employees (requires being on Vista Web version 1.25.4.386 or later)
    • When an employee has seleted exempt on a state form and has other non-exempt fields filled out, they will now get an error message letting them know they need to remove the extra fields before continuing. 
    • This will only work on the standard and non-spanish forms.
      
  • Updated Idaho form to new version
  • Resolved issue with Louisiana form
  • Resolved issue with Maryland county rate for Anne Arundel Country (.0294)
• E-Verify
  • USCIS login changes now require using a Login.Gov account. This does not impact the Fiddletree E-Verify integration and does not require any change on the Fiddletree Customer Configuration site.
• New Feature: Pre-Initialize New Hire Workflows
  • Similiar to our Post Hire Workflows feature, but for new hires that are not yet hired. This feature will add a new Onboarding Task that is admin only.  On this task, admins can select the HR Action Items they would like created prior to this new hire is initialized into Vista as an employee.  Once they select a confirmation "Yes" button, these HR Action Items will be created and emailed to the template admins. 
    • This feature requires being on the Vista Web version 1.25.4.386 or later

Resource Planning

We have been adding many enhancements to Resource Planning since the last release:

• Platform
  • File Imports will now only insert new records and will not update existing records
    • Feature coming soon to allow selection of fields that should update on imports
  • Resolved issue where a grids last used filters would not persist when navigating into records and back to grid
  • Resolved issue where views that are just created are not defaulted the first time when navigating back to the grid
  • Resolved issue with date picker not accepting manually entered date
• Permission Groups
  • Reminder: Permissions to Jobs, Employees, Crews, and Equipment are now enforced throughout the entire platform

• Jobs
  • Details
    • Added new field Enabled for Daily Scheduling which will control whether this job will use Projections, Labor Ratios, and the Daily Scheduling pages.
    • Added new field for Work Schedule that you can assign to each job which has a start time, stop time, and number of hours per day.
  • Projections
    • Date range added to show 6 weeks plus last
      • Initialize Projections:
        • Labor Type has been added so you can project headcounts by labor type
        • Begin Date, End Date, and Hours for Distribution fields are now all editable
    • Projections will now only show up for Jobs that are Enabled for Daily Scheduling
  • Labor Ratios 
    • New section to set Journeyman / Apprentice ratios for each labor type per job
  • Global Projections
    
    • Now shows Total Projected, Total Laborers, and the Difference per day/week
    • Date range added to show next 6 weeks plus previous
    • Cells are editable when set to Daily view
• Scheduling
  • New page, Daily Scheduling
    • This page is used for short term scheduling and allows drag/drop of Employees, Equipment, and Crews to Jobs.  This page will also show the difference between any job labor projections and Journeyman/Apprentice ratios on the Daily Schedule.
  • Resource Gantt
    
    • Resource Gantt no longer shares views with the Assignments grid and the updated fields to filter by are; Resource Type, Resource Category, Resource Name, and Business group
• Resources
  • Assignments
    • When employee is made inactive, any active assignments are automatically updated to end and a new assignment is created for the remaining time.
  • Employees
    • New page, Employees > Time Off
      • This page will show the selected employees' time off
  • New page, Resources > Employee Work History
    
    • This page allows users to easily search for employees based on past work experience
    • Employee work histories are now added automatically
  • New page, Resources > Time Off
    • This page will show Time Off for all employees
• Setup
  • New page, Work Schedule
    • This page is used for creating different work schedules which can be assigned to each Job. 
  • Position Codes
    • New field for Job Role to categorize positions as Project Manager, Journeymen, or Apprentice
• Reports
  • Updated Reports UI in order to increase performance and design

Vista Web Add-ons

We have added a few more great add-ons to our website as standard enhancements:

• HR Action Item - Bulk Initialize
  • New HR Action Item template will allow admins to select an employee or employee group and then a HR Action Item Tempalte they would like to auto create for that employee or group. The HR Action Item will use the selected employee or employee group as the Created By so they get access to the HR Action Item.
  HR Action Item Reminder Emails
  • Daily Email to all users that have a created HR Action Item that is not yet submitted.
  Sync ud Manager from Vista to Manager and Performance Review Manager to Vista Web
  • Will sync a user defined field from Vista HR record to Vista Web so employee manager can be maintained in one place.
    

Power BI Dashboards

We have added a new report Dashboard and made some awesome improvements.  For more information, check out our website or reach out to info@fiddletreesystems.com.

• Reminder of newer Dashboards: People Dashboard - Manager Team view
  • We have added a new option to our People Dashboard that allows us to filter the view to each manager to only see the information for their employees.  This allows managers to see the aggregated data for their team and to drilldown into their individual employee record to see their detailed human resources /payroll information from Vista.
• Reminder of newer Dashboards: Recruiting Dashboard (powered by the Vista Web Applicant Tracking System)
  
  • This dashboard will show data from Vista Web ATS Job Requistions. Open Requisitions by location, Time to Fill by role, Top Sources, Offer Acceptance Rate, and Acceptance Rate by Role.
  • This dashboard can also be customized to pull in data from multiple Job Boards on a T&M basis.
