HR Onboarding Package

We have released a new version of the Fiddletree HR Onboarding Package. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• State Forms
  • Updated DC form year to 2025 version
  • Corrected Montana state form issue
  • Added N/A value to Indiana county to dropdown and made required
  • Resolved issue when "$" is entered in the additional withholding amounts
  • Resolved issue with read only fields on the PA Residency Certification form 
  • Resolved issue with Iowa single filing status
• E-Verify
  • Based on updates from USCIS, we have updated the employee attestation verbiage on the E-Verify case and confirmation PDF from “A noncitizen authorized to work” to “An alien authorized to work” 
• Reminder new feature: Post Hire Workflows
  • When a new hire is initialized, you can create and assign HR Action Items to different groups of employees to complete for that new hire.  We decided to add this feature because of how many votes it got on the Viewpoint HR Management suggestion box.
    • For example, you can create a new HR Action Item for different tasks that IT will need to do like setting up a laptop or providing an employee access to different software applications.

Resource Planning

We have been adding many enhancements to Resource Planning since the last release:

• Permission Groups
  • Permissions to Jobs, Employees, Crews, and Equipment are now enforced throughout the entire platform
    • Learn more on how to use Permission Groups here
• Jobs
  • New Jobs Projections page shows all of the Jobs and their field labor body count projections that have been initialize
    
  • Job Detail > Projections is now editable on weekly view
• Employees
  • New page for Employee Work History
    • This page can be used to add past employee work records
  • New field for tracking employee Labor Type
• Job Gantt and Resource Gantt
  • Gantts will now refresh just the event bars that are added or updated when changes are made directly on the Gantt charts
  • Users can now double click in the white space in the bottom right pane of the Gantt Charts to Create a new Assignment
  • Added improved employee and job defaulting when adding new assignments in Gantt
  • Resolved issue with Completion % showing more than 100%
  • Resolved issue with end dates not displaying as full days
• Assignments
  • Users can now add Assigned Resources directly to a new request before selecting a Primary Category. When this happens, the Primary Category is auto populated with the Primary category of the Assigned Resource.
  • Added new employee name search for the Recommendation Grid 
  • When employee is made inactive, any active assignments are automatically updated to end and a new assignment is created.
  • Resolved issue with selected begin or end date showing as previous date
    
• Position Codes
  • New field for tracking the Schedule Type per position

Vista Web Add-ons

We have added a few more great add-ons to our website as standard enhancements:

• Timecard Notifications for employee injury or meal break violations
  • When employees answer timecard submission questions a certain way, an email will be sent to a specified email list.  The email will include the employee's question and answer details.  This makes it easier to track when employees say they missed a meal break or were injured during their shift.
• Vista Payroll Corrections and Recoding
  
  • With this customization, payroll teams can quickly re-code timecard lines coded to a specific job to a different job.  
• Scheduled Performance Reviews
  • Process to auto initialize performance reviews based on anniversary date or calendar date schedule

Power BI Dashboards

We have added a new report Dashboard and made some awesome improvements.  For more information, check out our website or reach out to info@fiddletreesystems.com.

• People Dashboard - Manager Team view
  • We have added a new option to our People Dashboard that allows us to filter the view to each manager to only see the information for their employees.  This allows managers to see the aggregated data for their team and to drilldown into their individual employee record to see their detailed human resources /payroll information from Vista.
• Recruiting Dashboard (powered by the Vista Web Applicant Tracking System)
  
  • This dashboard will show data from Vista Web ATS Job Requistions. Open Requisitions by location, Time to Fill by role, Top Sources, Offer Acceptance Rate, and Acceptance Rate by Role.
  • This dashboard can also be customized to pull in data from multiple Job Boards on a T&M basis.
