We have released a new version of the Fiddletree HR Onboarding Package. Here’s what you can look forward to:

State Withholding Forms

Due to a recent Trimble update, State Forms have changed the way information is pushed to Vista. As a result, some states may have pushed an incorrect Filing Status to Vista. A Fiddletree Update has been released to correct this issue, which you can install by running the Fiddletree Updater. 


The following States have released their 2026 State Withholding Forms. You can access these forms by running the Fiddletree Updater. More State Withholding Forms will be available as states continue to release 2026 versions.

I-9 Documents Task

The I-9 Documents Upload task experienced a bug where employees could complete the task without attaching the required documents. A solution has been put in place, and employees are now required to attach either a List A or List B&C documents. This revised task can be installed by running the Fiddletree Updater. 




Resource Planning

We have been adding many enhancements to Resource Planning since the last release:

  • Platform
    • Improved navigation for the "Admin" tab. The admin tab now opens a list of different Sections, which you can then expand to access the desired page. 
    • Added a setting to toggle if Job Notes should appear in notifications sent to employees
  • Settings
    • New Setting: "Add Budget Code to Assignments and Add Total Hourly Rate fields to assignment" - If enabled, there will be dropdown under the Phase when creating an assignment where you can select which Budget Code to use for that Phase. This will also show the Total Hourly Rate for the employee, but this field will be obfuscated if you do not have Can View Sensitive permissions for Employees.  
    • New Admin > Organization > Setting: Enable Job specific phases for Tenant Admins, PM users, and those with Edit Job permissions 
    • Admin > Job setup > Budget Groups - now allow for setup of default Labor Type, Positions, and Asset Categories (Rules engine in development) 
    • New Admin > Organization > Setting: Job Gantt - Group Resources under their assigned phases 
    • New Admin > Organization > Setting: Cost Projections - Allow Labor Forecasting by Budget Group
      • With this setting enabled, you can forecast to each budget group using the same Labor Type
    • New Admin > Organization > Setting: Show rates on Labor and Asset Forecasts
      • With this enabled, Hourly Rates can be added to labor forecasts and Weekly Rates to Asset Forecasts. These rates will show in grid.
    • New Admin > Organization > Setting: Do not restrict resources available based on Primary or Additional Categories on long term assignments
    • New Global Setting: "Dispatch Board assignments to use locked Job Dates or Phase Dates" - When disabled, assignments created through the dispatch board will be assigned for a length of time dependent on your Time Preset. The length of the assignment can then be edited by dragging the edges of the assignment bar. The length of time an assignment is created for depending on the Time Preset is as follows: 
      • Days = 1 Day assignment
      • Weeks = 1 week assignment
      • Months = 1 month assignment
      • Years = 1 quarter assignment
  • Jobs
    • Labor Forecast
      • The initialize modal will now allow you to select your date ranges and labor type first, and then you can distribute resources and hours accordingly.
      • UI Updates and now includes Budget Group filtering 
  • Scheduling
    • Resource and Job Gantt
      • Timeoff, Short-Term Assignments, and Long-Term Assignments will now all appear in the Job Gantt.    
      • Hours worked Per Day will appear on event bars. 
      • On iPad's, a single tap will now allow you to edit or create a new assignment 
      • Short Term Assignments in the Job Gantt now cannot be edited through the Job Gantt
      • Updated colors of the bars on Resource Gantt. Fully Allocated will be green, Under 100% allocation is light green, and Over Allocated is red. 
    • Notifications
      • Assignment notes will be included in the notifier email sent to an employee. 
      • Long term assignments employees who have already been notified will no longer show up when that option is selected 
      • Now supports SMS functionality for Canadian Phone Numbers
    • Daily Scheduling
      • Added back the separate scroll bar for Resources and for Jobs
    • Dispatch Board
      • Daily assignments are now a single day, Weekly assignments are now a single week 
      • Future assignments can now be dragged up and down across different employees 
      • Assignments will lock to Job / Phase dates with new setting 
  • Resources
    • Resource Map
      • Added the Resource Map! On this page, you can view a map that shows where your Resources are located, and how many Resources are at each location.  
      • Added option to filter between Resource Types on Resource Map. 
      • The Resource Map will only be accessible if the user has access to view Resources, and will only show those that they have access to.
      • Employees signing in through the magic link will no longer have access to the Resource Map. 
    • Employees
      • Employees who can only be assigned to Short-Term Assignments can now be added to crews.
