Cost Projection Grid Column Options
The Cost Projection Grid provides key job, financial, labor, and production information to help you track and compare projections. Columns can show contract amounts, projected and actual costs, hours and units, profit and margin, change orders, completion percentages, and changes from previous projections. Projection Spread Details provide more detailed information by phase, including units, hours, costs, commitments, and pending change orders. You can customize the grid to display the columns most useful for your workflow.

The department or division within the job that this row is assigned to.
Job Department(s)/Site Name
The job site name and number associated with the projection row.
Month
The month of the projection
Customer Name
Name of the Customer/Job
Assigned PM
The PM assigned to that job
Sequence
Indicates whether the projection or department has been submitted:
1 = Locked (submitted)
0 = Open (editable)
Locked rows cannot be modified unless the projection is reopened.
Created Date/By Whom
Date and Name of who created the projection
Term | Meaning |
Original Contract Amount | The contract value before any change orders. |
Approves COs | Person or role authorized to approve change orders. |
Contract Amount | Current total contract value, including approved change orders. |
Remaining Projected | The value remaining after deducting the value of what was billed from Total Projected.

Billed | The value of what was billed. |
Total Projected | Total Projected Amount |
Original Amount | The initial projected or budgeted amount before changes. |
Margin w/out COs | Profit margin based on the original contract, excluding change orders. |
Estimated Amount | Expected total amount based on current estimates. |
Pending COs | Change orders submitted but not yet approved. |
Change Order Cost | Cost associated with approved or pending change orders. |
Notices to Proceed | Authorized amounts/work released to begin under the contract. |
Projected Cost | Expected total cost to complete the job. |
Est Rev at Completion (ERAC) | Estimated total revenue expected when the job is complete. |
Actual Amount | Amount actually incurred, earned, or recorded to date. |
Gross Profit with COs | Projected revenue minus projected cost, including change orders. |
Projected Hours | Estimated total labor hours needed to complete the job. |
Gross Margin with COs | Gross profit as a percentage of revenue, including change orders. |
Actual Hours | Labor hours actually worked/recorded. |
Projected Units | Estimated total production units expected for the job. |
Current Gross Profit % | Current gross profit expressed as a percentage of revenue. |
Projected Profit | Expected profit at job completion. |
Projected GP % | Expected gross profit as a percentage of projected revenue. |
Projection Change | Difference between the current projection and the previous projection. |
JTD Billings | Job-to-Date Billings — total amount billed to the customer so far. |
% Complete (Cost) | Percentage of the job's total projected cost that has been incurred. |
Previous Projected Amount | Amount projected in the previous projection. |
Gross Profit % of Cost | Gross profit expressed as a percentage of total cost. |
Previous Projected Hours | Hours projected in the previous projection. |
Previous Projected Units | Units projected in the previous projection. |
Projected Amount Difference | Dollar difference between the current and previous projected amounts. |
Projected Hours Difference | Difference between current and previous projected hours. |
Projected Units Difference | Difference between current and previous projected units. |
Projected Amount % Change | Percentage change in projected amount from the previous projection. |
Projected Hours % Change | Percentage change in projected hours from the previous projection. |
Projected Units % Change | Percentage change in projected units from the previous projection. |
Last Initialized Date/By Whom | Date the projection was last initialized and the user who initialized it. |
% Complete (Hours) | Percentage of total projected labor hours already completed. |
% Complete (Units) | Percentage of total projected production units already completed. |
Status | Current status of the projection or job. |
Approved By/Approved Date | Person who approved the projection and the approval date. |
Exported Date | Date the projection or report was exported. |
Previous Projected Gross Profit | Gross profit calculated in the previous projection. |
Previous Projected GP % | Gross profit percentage calculated in the previous projection. |

The phase of work this row belongs to, including both code and description.
Unit of Measure (UM)
The unit used for tracking quantities (for example: hours, tons, feet, etc.).
