Projections

From a PM's perspective, Cost Projections are less about accounting and more about knowing where your project is headed financially before you get there. 

As a PM, you're constantly balancing:

What was planned → What has happened → What still needs to happen → What will it cost?

Cost Projections help you make that last part visible.

The Jobsite Projections page is where users can create or edit the monthly Cost Projections for a Job. When viewing a specific monthly cost projection, users can see all configured tabs. From this page, Project Managers and Supervisors can track, view, and share projections for each job. 

To access, navigate to any job in the Jobs List grid and select the ‘Projections’ page for that job. The same date can be accessed through Global Projections, with the only difference being the option to use ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ buttons to quickly go through each projection job to job.

Cost Projections Grid

• Select ‘View Full Grid’ to see cost projections at a full grid mode.

  • Select ‘Export to Excel’ to share. 

• Total Spread Cost and Approved CO columns have a grand total at the bottom of the grid.

• The Notes column allows users to leave communications for other users related to that projection. The icon is blue if notes are added.

• In Full Grid Mode, there is an ‘Export to Excel’ button that exports all of the values shown. 

• Months that are already closed but exist in the system will be available as read only.
  
  

The Method Column

• The Method column determines how remaining projected Units, Hours, and Costs are calculated and entered in the Cost Projections grid. This feature is especially useful for customers who use unit-based projections, where remaining projected units are used to drive the corresponding hours and cost projections.
